RivieraStandard is an independent editorial guide to the hotels that define the French Riviera.
We are interested in more than star ratings, room counts and amenity lists. Every review asks a more useful question: what kind of stay does this hotel make possible, and who will get the most from it?
The aim is to make choosing a luxury hotel clearer, more honest and more enjoyable — whether the right answer is a historic palace, a contemporary city hotel, a private retreat or somewhere that belongs entirely to its setting.
What we publish
Editorial hotel reviews
Each hotel page combines a clear overall verdict with assessments of location, rooms, service, style, food, facilities, privacy, value and Riviera character.
Reviews are written to explain the trade-offs that matter in practice: which room category changes the experience, whether the facilities justify the rate, how the hotel fits its neighbourhood and what type of traveller should book elsewhere.

Corrections and updates
Hotels change. Reviews should keep up.
