Methodology
How the RS Rating works
The RS Rating is RivieraStandard’s editorial rating for luxury hotels. It is expressed as a clear score out of 10.
The overall rating is not a mathematical average. It is a manual editorial judgment, supported by separate criteria such as location, rooms, service, style, food, facilities, privacy, value and Riviera character.
Commercial links do not determine the RS Rating. Ratings may evolve as hotels renovate, rebrand, reopen, change their services or shift in relation to their competitive set.
Family-related information is included only when a hotel offers specific services, facilities or room arrangements for families.
Rating scale
A simple rating out of 10
RivieraStandard uses decimals only when they meaningfully distinguish between closely matched hotels, while avoiding artificial precision.
